Awesome app!

Works really well, very slick.

3 and a half stars

Great sculpting app, 3 and a half stars.. Id give more if there wasnt the odd crash and it didnt try to access my mic which makes listening to music in app difficult.. Also needs an ios 7 interface... Looking forward to the 1.4 update thats soon to come, hoping it will address these issues

Has potential, if only...

Forger has a dreadful UI, not well thought out at all, but it has a good 3D engine and useful sculpting functionality. A couple tips for the developers: - Make rotation and panning camera controls a modal option. Multitouch trips camera movement too easily. - Get rid of redundant UI along the tab bar, and use menu nav by itself. - make sculpt, camera movement, object select & movement discrete modes (three icons in a row)

Bad App ! Crashes on start up

Downloaded this app and it crashes every time I click new ... Delete & reinstall ... Same thing !

Lots of functionality, but stylus doesnt work

First, the app has an amazing arsenal of built-in functionality that I almost feel like I am using Zbrush on iPad. However, it has a rather clumsy UI, and a major bug with stylus: I bought this app over Autodesks 123D, mostly because of its ability to support (or supposedly support) the Wacom Creative stylus that I have. However, the app simply crashes when one clicks on the Wacom button in the preference menu with bluetooth on, no matter how many times I tried or reinstalled the app. Ive already deleted the app, and hope that the author can come up with a solution and hold on to his promise of supporting the stylus. Hope this is only a problem with iPad Air 2 or iOS9, instead of a major glitch that the author himself forgot or didnt bother to fix.

Great app and update!

Just got the small iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil and with Forger now supporting the Pencil this app is amazing! Its more sophisticated than other similar apps out there so I can do a lot more with it "on the go." Looking forward to what the developer has planned next for this valuable (and fun) app!

Adonit support

Hi, hau you can create adonit jot touth stylus support in feature?

Awesome!

This sculpting program is amazing, but it requires some time to get used to. Please, make the bust and body bigger, so even smaller details can be sculpted. I really want to sculpt detailed bust, but I need bigger object. If you do this, Forger will probably be best sculpting app out there! Nevertheless, it is awesome already!

Waste of money

I spent 3 dollars on this and it shows nothing? Wow, you know how to make somebody say the word "rip-off"

Mobile zbrush

I was looking for a long time to find a mobile sculpting app for iOS that was comparable to Sculptris or zbrush....now, obviously this is no zbrush, but it is the close seat Ive ever seen on a mobile device! You can subdivide 6 or 7 times, add new spheres to give yourself more "clay" to work with, and switch between many brushes. This is an amazing app and easily blows 123d Sculpt out of the water. Im using an iPad Pro and have never had trouble with lag in this new version, it is honestly more enjoyable to sculpt in my iPad with forger than it is on my desktop with Sculptris. If youre looking for a fairly serious 3D sculpting experience on you iPad, this is the app you want!

A Simple Mobile ZBrush

Its a very fun app and I use it on the go to create base meshes to bring into ZBrush. Symmetry is still an issue though. Occationally, it wont create the symmetrical side to a stroke and that throws off the symmetry of the whole thing after that point. and I have never gotten the Scan Topology button to work since it is imposible to select 2 faces in this app. There are also some crashing issues when saving any meshes over 200,000 points. It will do it but it crashes about 1/4 of the time and you lose whatever work youve done.. Still, I am giving it a 5 star simply because its solid app if you work around the issues. It has good support for the Apple Pencil and is easy to use. It must be difficult to make an app like this to work for an iPhone and iPad, so I have to give the developer props for the hard work.

Read!!!

Seriously developers going to rate 1 star why u ask? Well forger is not working since summer so am rating 1!

Pretty good

This app is similar to Sculptris. Definitely looking forward to some new updates. Dev responds to feedback and questions

Seriously awesome

Very deep app. Has a lot of very well that thought out tools and the interface is great after a bit of studying the manual. Apple Pencil support would make it even better.

Great start!

Love this app but can you please add the ability to go back to the home screen. May want to add the manual to as a help function as I was pretty lost till I found it on your website.

Unbelievable app for a few bucks...

Im a 3D modeler/animator/generalist, and this app is unbelievable for the work that I do. Being able to import and export .obj files is extremely useful. Being able to start a base mesh in this program, then bring it back to my computer to tweak in Autodesk Maya is an amazing feature. Navigation is extremely easy and intuitive, and the amount of detail you get out of your meshes boggles my mind for an iPad app. This program is basically ZBrush for three dollars. Even if you have no other experience with other 3d programs, i could see an average person still having fun being able to sculpt anything like clay with your fingers on this app. If i could give this six stars i would...this is the best app ive ever purchased on the app store. Hands down

Toy 3d

Another toy 3d app. I think I have all of the iPad 3d apps and none of them are quite up to being useful for more than play. This one has some promise. It needs a help file you can access and it needs manipulators more than just the brushes. Maybe I just need more patience.

Fun - useful for beginners

This is a lot like sculptris or ZBrush but much simpler and very cool with the multitouch gestures. Certainly not a do it all tool but for $3 a really good app for sketching out ideas and having fun building up forms. The interface is a little confusing at first but is well thought out in general.

The best of its kind. At least for now.

Forger continues to evolve and improve with each update. Familiar and responsive sculpting tools finally give ZBrush/Mudbox lovers something to work with on the go. The recent addition of multires, as well as the removal of the hard coded 64k limit, makes Forger a real productivity too instead of a simple toy. The current version is not without its flaws though. Vertex selection is anything but precise. It often takes a few clicks to select the desired vertex; messing around with the brush size only helps a little. Additionally, and more problematic, Forger doesnt respect the line of symmetry. Vertices which lie on the axis should not be able to cross it. Forger should (partially) lock the movement of vertices on the line of symmetry, but it doesnt. Hopefully, future updates will rectify this problem. Overall, Forger is a tool worth your buying dollar.
